Ingredients of Spaghetti Carbonara

  1. You need 100 g of Pancetta (I used bacon).
  2. You need 50 g of Parmesan cheese.
  3. It's 2 of eggs.
  4. It's 160 g of spaghetti.
  5. You need of Butter for frying.
  6. You need of Salt & pepper to season.

Spaghetti Carbonara step by step

  1. Gather ingredients.
  2. Cut the bacon into small pieces.
  3. Grate the Parmesan cheese.
  4. Beat the egg and add salt and pepper. Mix in the grated cheese..
  5. Boil the water, add the spaghetti and cook until al dente.
  6. Whilst the pasta is cooking, fry the bacon in butter until crispy.
  7. When the pasta is cooked, drain and add to the fried bacon but keep some of the pasta water.
  8. Take off the heat. Quickly add the eggs and cheese mix. Using tongs lift the spaghetti to mix it in - don’t stir hard or it will scramble the egg!.
  9. Add some pasta water to loosen the mixture.
  10. Serve and add extra cheese on top.
